Kalliopi is all about the Mediterranean lifestyle of eating fresh and local food, staying active, and family dinners. As a child, she was an athlete and discovered her love for collaboration and team success. She is a naturally empathetic coach.

Growing up in beautiful Greece, I cherished the Mediterranean lifestyle: eating fresh and local food, and our big family dinners! I played rep basketball for several years. My favourite food from home is Pastitsio (Greek lasanga with bechemel sauce).

 

As a child, I earned a black belt in taekwondo, then switched to basketball because my mom played. Basketball taught me the power of effective collaboration. I loved seeing my teammates succeed. People tell me I’m naturally empathetic. Honestly, I just love helping others.

 

With all that, nutrition coaching as a concept came naturally to me.

 

Getting here, well, that wasn’t quite as easy. When I was 18 I left Greece and moved to Toronto for my BASc. I didn’t know anyone and my English wasn’t great. To say this was a difficult time is an understatement. But it makes it so much sweeter that I have my degrees and Dietitian credentials now.

 

Moving here, and eating more processed food, I could tell it was doing something negative to my body. I could feel it. I was used to higher-quality food and ingredients. That really bothered me and I learned how important food is, in a new way.

 

It is possible to find quality ingredients and feed our bodies healthy food (and it tastes better too). I can help you with meal planning and provide customized nutrition advice so that you can eat better, perform better, feel better, and reduce inflammation in your body!

 

My goals are to respect your individuality but at the same time challenge you. I will create a supportive environment for you to grow, change, and achieve your goals.
