Kalliopi, Registered Dietitian

Kalliopi has an outgoing way about her, but under that is a serious clinical mind, empathetic coach, and a strong desire to help. She was a youth athlete in Greece and carries forward Mediterranean lifestyle values.

Growing up in beautiful Greece, I cherished the Mediterranean lifestyle: exercise, eating fresh local food, limited screen time, and our big family dinners! My favourite food from home is Pastitsio (Greek lasagna with bechamel sauce).

 

I achieved a black belt in Taekwondo and changed my sport to basketball, making it to the rep level. Basketball was my first team sport, and I quickly got a huge rush when my teammates made a great play. People tell me I’m naturally empathetic. Honestly, I just love helping others.

 

I left all that to get my science degree in Toronto. I didn’t know anyone and my English wasn’t great. To say this was a difficult time is a huge understatement. But it makes it so much sweeter that I have my degrees and Dietitian credentials now.

 

Moving here, I ate more processed food. I could tell right away it was hurting me. That really bothered me. This experience showed me even more about that power of food, and is one of the reasons I became a Dietitian. It is possible to make food a priority. I can help you enjoy healthy food so that you can eat better, perform better, feel better, and reduce inflammation in your body!

My goals are to challenge you while respecting your individuality, and ultimately see you succeed.
